Ukraine raised consumption of natural gas 5.1% year-on-year in January-June 2017, to 20.4 billion cubic meters (bcm). The Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry said industry consumed 6.5 bcm, up 10.9% year-on-year, households and public sector organizations some 7.4 bcm (1.4% less), and heat supply companies some 3.7 bcm, or 8.3% less. Production and technological expenditure of gas rose 39%, to 2.8 billion cubic meters.
