Ukraine ranked eighth of the world's 67 main steel producing countries in June, although it cut steel production by 0.1% year-over-year to 3.475 million tons. The rating is published by the International Iron and Steel Institute (IISI). In June alone, Ukrainian producers decreased steel output by 166,000 tons compared to May 2007.
