USDA cuts forecast for Ukraine’s corn output to 38-mln mt in 2021-2022 Journal Staff Report
In its October report, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) lowered its forecast for the production of Ukrainian corn in the 2021/2022 marketing year (July-June) by 1 million tons – from 39 million tons to 38 million tons, and its export – by 0.5 million tons, from 32 million tons to 31.5 million tons. In the October report, the USDA also kept the forecast for the wheat harvest in 2021/22 at 33 million tons, and its exports from Ukraine at 23.5 million tons.
