KIEV, April 8 – The resolution of Kiev City state administration on the ban on entry to Kiev for trucks in daytime will significantly complicate cargo supplies, according to the Association of International Auto Carriers (AsMAP).
"From May 1, 2008, traffic in daytime would be practically halted not only in Kiev, but also on orbital roads, where international transport corridors pass. This would lead to the increase in the terms of cargo supplies. Simultaneously, the State Customs Service sent a letter, in which it cuts the terms for cargo supplies from internal customs checkpoints to border ones. Unfortunately, the Transport and Communications Ministry does not take this into account," AsMAP Vice President, Leonid Dokil, said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Monday.
