KIEV, Jan. 24 - Azerbaijan, a Caspian Sea oil producer, will join an energy summit in Ukraine in May aimed at arranging alternatives to Russia’s oil supplies to the European Union, President Viktor Yushchenko’s office reported.

Yushchenko met Azeri President Ilkham Aliyev earlier on Thursday in Davos at the World Economic Forum, as he seeks to drum up support for the summit due to be held in Kiev.
