KIEV, Oct. 9 - Ukrainian banks saw a profit of UAH4.9 billion in January through September, 44.1% more than during the same period last year, the National Bank of Ukraine reported.

Over the period under review, bank incomes were UAH46.4 billion, while expenditures were UAH41.5 billion.

The NBU said that in January through September, the banks' balance capital grew by 38%, or by UAH16.2 billion, to UAH58.7 billion.
