KIEV, Sept. 10 - Ukrainian banks saw a profit of UAH4.3 billion in January through August, 48.3% more than the same period last year, the National Bank of Ukraine.

Over the period under review, bank incomes were UAH40.4 billion, while expenditures were UAH36.1 billion.

The NBU said that in January through August, the banks' balance capital grew by 31.8%, or by UAH13.5 billion, to UAH56.1 billion.
