KYIV, April 18 – Large-scale challenges for the financial system of Ukraine remain; the pressing issue is to ensure rhythmic and predictable military and financial assistance, in particular, receiving $27 billion in this mode by the end of this year, Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko said at the Fifth Ministerial Roundtable Discussion for Support to Ukraine during Spring Meetings of the World Bank Group and the IMF in Washington on Wednesday.
"The absence or delay in support for Ukraine causes an increase in the fiscal gap and negatively affects our ability to resist the enemy at the front," the minister was quoted as saying in a press release from the Ministry of Finance.
