KYIV, April 17 – The Ukrainian energy sector suffered heavy losses due to targeted Russian missile attacks - more than 8 GW, and the risk of subsequent significant losses remains, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.

"The energy sector has suffered enormous losses in recent months. We have lost more than six gigawatts of capacity in our power grid, and we are at risk of even greater losses: last week we lost plus two more gigawatts," he said at the U.S. - Ukrainian Partnership Forum in Washington on Wednesday.
