KYIV, Nov 19 – TIU Canada, an investor in the field of solar energy, owned by Refraction Asset Management (Calgary, Canada), has filed a lawsuit against Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant (NFP) due to the disconnection of its 10.5 MW solar power plant (SPP) from the power grid in March 2020 of the year.
"Contrary to the Ukrainian energy legislation, which does not allow disconnecting producers from the grid without their permission, NFP illegally shut down the TIU Canada station on March 1, 2020. TIU Canada requires immediate connection to the power grid and intends to bring NFP and its shareholders to full responsibility in accordance with the law Ukraine and Canada," the company said.
