Ukraine introduces quarantine restrictions as COVID-19 cases grow

KYIV, Oct 13 – The Cabinet of Ministers at an extraordinary meeting on Tuesday introduced a number of quarantine restrictions, in particular on the holding of mass events, as number of coronavirus cases has been growing rapidly.

The government made the corresponding decision with a one-day revision.

"It is proposed to ban on the territory of the region with a 'green' level of epidemiological danger the holding of mass, cultural, sports, social, advertising and other events with the participation of more than 50 people, with the 'yellow' level - 30 people, and 'orange' level – 20 people. Also on the territory 'green,' 'yellow' and 'orange' zones it is offered to hold sports events without spectators, apart from international competitions and matches that can be held with spectators under a separate agreement with the Ministry of Health," Health Minister Maksym Stepanov explained during a government meeting.
