KYIV, April 2 – Ukrainian metal and mining enterprises in January-March 2019 tentatively increased rolled steel output by 1.3% year-over-year, to 4.727 million tons.

According to the Ukrmetallurgprom association, steel smelting grew by 4.5%, to 5.498 million tons, while cast iron output decreased by 2.1%, to 5.178 million tons.

In March 2019, Ukrainian metal companies produced 1.799 million tons of cast iron (114.7% to the previous month), 1.958 million tons of steel (116.1%), and 1.644 million tons of rolled steel (111.4%).
