KYIV, Jan 9 - Ukraine will ask European partners to investigate alleged attempts by Russia to illegally sell internationally coal extracted from occupied Ukrainian territories in Donetsk and Luhansk, Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said.

"Regarding the origin of coal ... We are checking. We know about Russian attempts to mix coal from the occupied territories with Russian coal and export it… We are working with our partners to conduct an appropriate investigation," he said Wednesday.
