KIEV, June 27 - Thousands of protesters from throughout Ukraine, summoned up by an opposition party, joined a rally in downtown Kiev on Tuesday to protest against a scheduled increase in natural gas and power prices.

About 15,000 protesters turned out for the rally in Kiev and in some other regions of the country seeking to put pressure on the government to postpone the price hike.
