Ukraine faces economic crisis unless IMF resumes lending: economists say
Journal Staff Report

KYIV, June 6 – Ukraine is facing a deep economic crisis and must resume cooperation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), speed up reforms and fight corruption in order to avoid it, economists and entrepreneurs said Thursday.

"The Ukrainian government must pay more than $3 billion to creditors in the second half of this year and about $7 billion next year. The state does not have these funds, and the sources of their receipt are not yet available," the authors of the appeal say.
