KYIV, June 5 – Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) agents have thwarted a cyber attack on a diplomatic office of a NATO member state. Hackers attempted to gain access by unauthorized use of an information resource of a state enterprise of the Ukrainian Health Ministry.
SBU's press center said on Tuesday that law enforcers documented violations of information security and use of automated systems by Health Ministry enterprise officials. The violations allowed illegal access to the enterprise's information and telecommunications systems, leading hackers to exploit the opportunity to launch an attack on a foreign diplomatic office.
