KYIV, April 16 - National nuclear energy generating company Energoatom in January-March 2018 reduced electricity production by 7.5% (by 1.793 billion kilowatt-hours) year-over-year, to 22.045 billion kWh, the press service of the company has said.

Electricity sales on the wholesale market during the reporting period fell by 7.3%, or 1.643 billion kWh, to 20.834 million kWh.

"Electricity worth UAH 13.651 billion (including VAT) was sold on the wholesale electricity market in the first quarter of 2018, which was 8%, or UAH 1.014 billion, up on Q1 2017," Energoatom's press service said.
