KYIV, March 2 – The state nuclear power generator Energoatom and Holtec International on February 28 signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation in the use of small modular reactors of the SMR-160 project in Ukraine. The document was signed in Camden, the United States, Energoatom reported.

The press service said that the document foresees not only the licensing of SMR-160 technology in Ukraine and the further construction of these reactors at the country's nuclear power plants, but also the partial localization of production of equipment for SMR-160 at Ukrainian enterprises.
