KYIV, March 2 – Ukraine will have to update its plan to unbundle natural gas transportation assets after winning $4.63 billion in compensation from Russian gas company Gazprom, Naftogaz Ukrayiny CEO Andriy Kobolev said.
"The unbundling plan, which was originally envisaged, is to be fundamentally updated. The supervisory board created in Mahistralni Gazoprovody Ukrayiny (MGU) will not be able to manage the system, because the system must remain in the Naftogaz Group,” he said.
“It should be necessary to choose another model and select a new supervisory board for the new model," Kobolev said.
