KIEV, July 19 - Ukraine will accept $15 million of Turkish financial assistance to Ukraine in 2017-2021 after the government has approved an agreement with Turkey on military-financial cooperation, the government reported Wednesday.
In December 2016, Ukraine and Turkey signed an intergovernmental agreement on military-financial cooperation and an inter-governmental protocol on the allocation of financial aid, providing for Ankara's allocation to Kiev on an annual basis during five years of funds for the purchase of Turkish military and dual-use goods for the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In 2017, within the framework of the agreement, the Turkish side will allocate $3.1 million for these purposes. The agreements also include short-term training of the Armed Forces in the training centers of the Turkish Armed Forces.
