KIEV, Sept. 30 – Ukraine has fallen three places in the Global Competitiveness Index (GCI) published by the World Economic Forum, to 79th.
Russia climbed 11 places, rising from 53rd to 45th.
As in previous years, this year’s top 10 remains dominated by a number of European countries, with Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, and the United Kingdom retaining their places among the most competitive economies. Three Asian countries also feature in the top 10, with Singapore remaining the second-most competitive economy in the world, and Hong Kong and Japan also in the top ten.
