KIEV, Dec. 26 - Incumbent Kiev Mayor Oleksandr Omelchenko, backed by President Viktor Yushchenko's Our Ukraine party, led Vitaliy Klichko, Ukraine??™s world heavyweight champion, in a mayor election poll due in March 2006, an opinion poll showed.

Omelchenko, who has been running Kiev for two consecutive four-year terms, would receive support from 24.2% of Kiev voters, while Klichko would get 14.5%, according to the poll released by Democratic Initiatives Monday.
