KIEV, Sept. 2 – The restriction on cash transactions by individuals to the level of UAH 150,000 from September 1 will expand the crediting opportunities of banks, reduce the circulation of dollars and ensure the general positive impact totaling 0.2% of GDP, National Bank of Ukraine Deputy Governor Vira Rychakivska said.
"If we take a short-term resource, we assess that this could be up to UAH 6 billion, and if we take a long-term resource… the crediting volumes could grow by around UAH 14 billion," she said at a briefing last week.
She said that the factor will promote the reduction in the cost of credits.
