KIEV, Oct. 3 - Ukraine should push to participate in expanding capacity of natural gas pipelines in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in order to secure greater imports of gas from Turkmenistan, a top Ukrainian official said.

Anatoliy Kinakh, the secretary of National Security and Defense Council, said the reconstruction of the gas pipelines in the Central Asia may be the key to securing long-term gas imports to Ukraine.
