KIEV, Sept. 6 - Naftogaz Ukrayiny, the oil and gas company, plans to shortly acquire a 50% stake in Kalmoil, a small regional Russian oil company, Naftogaz Ukrayiny Chairman Oleksiy Ivchenko said Tuesday.

Naftogaz planned to spend $10 million late last year to acquire the stake, but the National Bank of Ukraine had then suspended the transaction amid concerns that the hryvnia had been facing downward pressure.
