KUZNETSOVSK (Rivne region), Dec. 13 – EnergoAtom is leaving open the possibility of producing fuel for VVER-440 reactors in Ukraine, EnergoAtom President Yuriy Nedashkovsky, said.

"The issue of the creation of a separate production line for the fabrication of nuclear fuel for the said reactors is to be discussed as a part of the process of building the [nuclear fuel] plant," he said at a press conference in Kuznetsovsk.

He said that the issue could be put up for discussion with Russia's OSJC TVEL, which is Ukraine's partner in the building of the nuclear fuel plant.
