The steel industry’s finished roll output rose 4% year-on-year in January-February to 6.105 million tons, the Industrial Policy Ministry announced. Steel pipe production fell 16% to 371,000 tons. Ukraine produced 7.13 million tons of crude steel, up 3%, and 5.92 million tons of pig iron, up 4%. Iron ore concentrate production grew 8% to 10.33 million tons, prepared iron ore was unchanged at 11.69 million tons and sinter was unchanged at 8.09 million tons.
