Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Slauta says that Ukraine will harvest around 30 million tons of grain in 2007, up from his earlier forecast Slauta earlier forecast this at 27 to 29 million tons. He said that Ukraine had already harvested 22.6 million tons of grain from 96% of the area of crops to be harvested this year. In addition, at least 6.4 million tons of maize is to be harvested this year.
