Ukrhydroenergo calls for harsh sanction on Russia after Dniprovska HPP attack Journal Staff Report
The missile attack on the Dniprovska hydroelectric power plant (Dniprovska HPP) on Friday, March 22 became possible due to the lack of an appropriate response from the world community to the environmental disaster after the Russians blew up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant in June 2023, said Director General of Ukrhydroenergo Ihor Syrota during the United News telethon on Friday. "I would like to once again appeal to the European and world community. Inadequate assessment of the disaster at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant leads to today's attacks on such unsafe hydraulic structures," he said.
