Ukraine, Japan discuss nuclear safety amid Russian attacks Journal Staff Report
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal held a meeting with Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida during a working visit to New York (USA), the press service of the Government of Ukraine reported. "The key global challenge today is the nuclear safety of our facilities. The russians blackmailed the world with the Chornobyl nuclear power plant, and now with Europe's largest Zaporizhia nuclear power plant. On Monday, they shelled the territory of the Pivdennoukrainska NPP. We appeal to the civilized world to unite around this problem and demilitarize the ZNPP from russian troops," he said.
