KIEV, Feb. 11 – The pro-Western coalition, which controls a slim majority in Parliament, will try to overcome heavy opposition from the Regions Party to approve crucial legislative initiatives, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said Monday.

Parliament remains blocked for almost a month by the Regions Party since Ukrainian leaders had signed a letter asking NATO for permission to join the Membership Action Plan in April.
