KIEV, Jan. 23 -- The Regions Party will block the work of Parliament on Friday if the legislative body is scheduled to support a letter by the leaders of the state to the NATO secretary general on Ukraine's joining the Membership Action Plan (NATO MAP) at the Bucharest summit in April, MP Vasyl Kyseliov of the party faction told Interfax-Ukraine.
"The Verkhovna Rada won't work if such a draft resolution is put to the vote," he said. He said the question should be considered after the date of the national referendum on NATO is set. Kyseliov described the letter of statement to the NATO secretary general as being provocative and "crime against the Ukrainian people."
