KIEV, Oct. 15 - Naftogaz Ukrayiny, the national oil and gas company, will borrow $200 million to raise enough money by Nov. 1 to clear the debt owed to Russian gas giant Gazprom, an official said Monday.

Naftogaz and Ukrainian gas trader UkrGaz-Energo are to pay a total of $929 million to Gazprom this month to avoid gas supply cuts, according to a debt agreement signed in Moscow last week.
