KYIV, Feb 16 – President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed hope that both houses of the Congress would reach an agreement on the U.S. financial and defense assistance.

"I hope the United States of America will not fall away," he said at a joint press conference with German Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Friday.

The Ukrainian president also said that a major part of the U.S. population support Ukraine and understands that Ukraine is defending not only itself, but also whole Europe and common values.
