DONETSK, Sept. 20 - Thirteen coal miners were killed and 60 were injured Wednesday after a gallery collapsed about 1,078 meters underground at Zasyadko coalmine in the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine, an Emergency Ministry spokesman said.

The collapse, caused by spontaneous methane gas and coal ejection, is the worst accident to hit a Ukrainian coal mine so far this year.
