KYIV, July 3 – Ukraine lifted restrictions on government wages at the end of June following easing of the coronavirus lockdown and in line with an agreement with the International Monetary Fund, officials said.
The wages were temporarily capped at UAH 47,000 for the time of the lockdown, but the restrictions phased out at the end of June.
"This cap [was] lifted by end-June, as containment measures are gradually eased. Should further burden-sharing be needed, we will explore other mechanisms for efficient redistribution," according to the official.
