KYIV, Feb 18 – The volume of money transfers to Ukraine using international money transfer systems in 2019 exceeded the amount of funds sent abroad by almost six times, according to the National Bank of Ukraine's (NBU) website.
According to the report, in 2019, using money transfer systems created by both residents and non-residents, $2.271 billion (21.94% of the total transfers) were transferred to Ukraine, $398 million (3.85% of the total amount) outside Ukraine, and UAH 197.93 billion, or $7.679 billion (74.21% of the total amount of transfers) within Ukraine. These data do not include information on remittances made through banks, card payment systems and post offices, as well as informal channels.
