KYIV, Oct 16 – France's Alstom, the producer of rolling stock and railway infrastructure, is interested in the implementation of infrastructure projects in Ukraine, in particular, electrification of railway infrastructure, although the difference between Ukrainian and European standards in the sector could hinder its operations on this market, Alstom Business Development Director Florence Dufour said at the presentation of the company at Rail Expo 2018 in Kyiv on Tuesday.
"Of course, we are interested in working with infrastructure projects in Ukraine, with electrification projects. However, in Ukraine there are GOST [national] standards that do not coincide with European standards, and this is a problem for us," she said.
