Ambassador Chaly, OPIC, Energoatom sign spent nuclear fuel storage facility deal

KYIV, Feb 15 - Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Valeriy Chaly, together with President and CEO of the U.S. Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) Ray Washburne and President of Energoatom Yuriy Nedashkovsky, attended the ceremony on signing documents related to the financing of the construction of the centralized spent nuclear fuel storage facility in Ukraine.


Ukraine’s economy expanded 2.2% in 2017 vs. 2.3% in 2016: report

KYIV, Feb 15 - The growth of Ukraine's real gross domestic product (GDP) in 2017 was 2.2% compared to 2.3% in 2016, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade wrote on its Twitter page, with reference to preliminary estimates from the State Statistics Service.


NBU still waiting for papers needed for Prominvestbank’s acquisition

KYIV, Feb 16 – The National Bank of Ukraine has not yet received a package of documents for approval of the acquisition of a large stake in Prominvestbank, the NBU reported.

The NBU said that it is impossible to buy a large stake in a bank without the approval.


Ukrainian coal producers cut output 27.3% in January
