Ukraine must work to improve green energy tariff system: Bioenergy Assn

KYIV, Sept 16 - The Feed-in-Premium tariff system for producers of "green" electricity will be of interest primarily to bioenergy enterprises, but the Ministry of Energy's bill on this system needs to be improved, Heorhiy Heletukha, the head of the Bioenergy Association of Ukraine (BAU), says.

KYIV, Sept 16 - Some 90% of premiums collected by the insurance market of Ukraine in the first half of 2021 are concentrated in 60 insurance companies (50 - non-life and 10 life), the head of the insurance market supervision department of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), Iryna Syrenko, said at the XXI International Financial Forum in Odesa.

Myronivsky Hliboproduct mulls selling $300-350 million 10-year eurobond

KYIV, Sept 10 – Myronivsky Hliboproduct (MHP) plans to issue 10-year $300-350 million eurobonds, which subject to market conditions.

According to a report of the agricultural holding on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) on Tuesday, the company has announced arranging meetings with fixed income investors in connection with a potential new eurobond transaction by its wholly owned subsidiary, MHP Lux S.A.


EBRD to buy $100-mln Eurobond to help Ukrzaliznytsia modernize

KYIV, Sept 11 – The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will finance the modernization of infrastructure of Ukrzaliznytsia via the purchase of eurobonds worth almost $100 million, Ukrzaliznytsia Board Chairman Yevhen Kravtsov wrote on his Facebook page late on Tuesday.


Tobacco companies warn Ukrainian bill may result in cigarette smuggling

KYIV, Sept 11 – The adoption of bill No. 1210 amending the Tax Code of Ukraine dated August 30 foresees growth of the excise duty on cigarettes by 2.5 times, which would result in 2.5-3-fold growth of prices, to UAH 80-100 per package of cigarettes from January 1, 2020, Corporate Affairs at Director Philip Morris Ukraine Nataliya Bondarenko said.
