Ukrainian businesses call on govt to scrap plans to boost taxes on banks

KYIV, Sept 25 – The business community calls on the Cabinet of Ministers and the Verkhovna Rada to refrain from introducing drastic changes in tax policy, in particular, increasing windfall tax for banks, and to ensure the stability of the economic system, the organizations said in a joint statement.


Nestlé’s production in Ukraine drops 5% in 2023 vs. 15% in 2022

Odessa Port-Side to bid at $150 million, down from $527 million

KIEV, Sept. 23 - The Ukrainian government and Prime Minister Volodymyr Hroysman have supported the reduction in the starting price of Odessa port-side chemical plant at a privatization tender to $150 million, State Property Fund head Ihor Bilous said.

Government allocates UAH52.7 million to pay state coal wage arrears

KIEV, Sept. 23 - The government of Ukraine has allocated UAH 52.757 million to state coal enterprises to repay wage arrears, increasing funding for the state program of support for coal mines to partially cover the cost for finished products, according to Interfax-Ukraine.
