President Viktor Yushchenko has issued a decree to allocate an additional UAH1.38 billion from the 2008 national budget to the Security Service of Ukraine. The decree instructs the Cabinet of Ministers to foresee the allocation of the funds in amendments to the 2008 national budget. The government is also to draw up proposals on increasing social guarantees to the SBU officers.
