The raising of the price of cigarettes to a European level may become the first step Ukraine will make toward integration in Europe, Minister for Affairs of Family, Youth, and Sport Yuriy Pavlenko said. "I think it will be the first, good step Ukraine will make on the way to European integration – to raise the prices of cigarettes to the level of European prices," he said. "We will do our best to have such decisions endorsed this year," Pavlenko said.
