The price of eggs will rise about 50% by late this year to UAH5-6 per 10 eggs, according to UkrPtakhoProm, a group which unites poultry farms producing eggs, UkrPtakhoProm Director General Volodymyr Frolov said at a press conference in Kiev. He said that at present, the retail prices of eggs is surging from UAH3.80 to UAH4.20 per 10 eggs. He linked the growth in prices with a fall in production due to low profitability.
