Ukraine lost 20.5% of its agricultural land, agr production declines Journal Staff Report
Since the onset of the full-scale war, Ukraine has lost 20.5% of its agricultural land, leading to a decline in overall agricultural production, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Vitaliy Koval stated during a national television broadcast. "We understand that we have lost 20.5% of all agricultural land during the war. Naturally, this has resulted in a substantial drop in crop yields. For example, in 2021 – a fruitful and successful year – we harvested 106 million tons of grains and industrial crops. By contrast, 2024 ended with a total yield of 77 million tons," he said.
