Organic pollution from the Seym River is moving more slowly, with its flow rate decreasing near the Ukrainian city of Chernihiv, particularly around the destroyed road bridge. According to Ukraine's Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources, no signs of pollution were observed along the entire length of the Desna River within Chernihiv and downstream to the village of Kolychivka.
