Ukraine's forex reserves up 13.7% to $42.33-bln in August, NBU says Journal Staff Report
Ukraine's international reserves surged by 13.7%, or $5.1 billion, reaching $42.33 billion in August, according to preliminary data from the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU). "This growth was driven by substantial inflows from international partners, which outweighed the National Bank's net foreign currency sales and the country's foreign currency debt repayments," stated the central bank in a press release late on September 6.
