Ukraine reduces 95.9% on imports of hard coal, anthracite in Jan-Apr Journal Staff Report
In January-April 2023, Ukraine reduced the import of hard coal and anthracite (tariff code 2701) by 95.9% (by 3.95 million tons) compared to the same period in 2022, to 173,594 tons. According to the State Customs Service, coal was imported for $66.362 million, which is 93.1% less than in January-April 2022 ($964.912 million). From Australia came coal for $33.432 million (50.38%), the United States for $19.399 million (29.23%), Poland for $10.855 million (16.36%), and other countries for $2.676 million (4.03%).
