The economic benefits of combining the Ukrainian and European energy systems will amount to $1.5 billion annually, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said. "The World Bank estimates that the economic benefits of integrating the Ukrainian energy system with ENTSO-E are $1.5 billion annually," Shmyhal said at the conference "Ukraine's Integration into ENTSO-E: Step Towards Energy Independence" in Kyiv. At the same time, the prime minister expressed hope that the integration process will take place on time and will be completed no later, or even earlier than 2023, as planned.
