NBU sees minimum wage rising 30% on year in 2021 Journal Staff Report
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) expects a 15% increase in average wages in 2021, with the minimum wage rising by 30%, Deputy Governor of the NBU Dmytro Sologub has said. "The pass-through effect is expected to be calmer, since the economy will still be weak and only begin to recover from the crisis. According to our estimates, with a 30% increase in the minimum wage, the average wage will grow by about 15% next year," he said in an exclusive interview to the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
